Poor, poor ole’ Mike Huckabee; can’t even get the Democrats to “Swift Boat” him as he and his party self-destruct before our eyes. Too bad, really; we could use a REAL “conservative” party right now to fight against the Democratic “Nanny State” we seem sure to inherit after ‘08. Take your pick: “Nanny State” or a “Police State”. As putrid as either one of the choices are, we’re already sick and tired of the “Police State” and a bit of “Nannying” SOUNDS like a break, at least for a little while. And sadly, I agree; not because a “Nanny State” is any less putrid than a “Police State”, it’s just DIFFERENT…
So anyway — turns out ole’ “Huck” is known today by the DNC as ‘ole “Glass Jaw” — easy to defeat due to his homophobia and direct involvement in President Bill Clinton’s cousin’s murder back in his days at the throne of the State of Arkansas. In other words, the “Nanny Staters” want the “Police Stater” to win; plenty of “Swiftboat” material and “foot in mouth” stuff lying in cardboard boxes at the campaign headquarters of Barack Obama, Sir Hillary Rodham Clinton and the offices of the DNC. So much material; one can easily imagine Democrats nationwide sending the “Huck for King” campaign their hard earned money and driving around with “Huck For Prez” bumper stickers as we speak.

Democrat party officials are avoiding any and all criticism of Republican presidential contender Mike Huckabee, insiders reveal.
The Democratic National Committee has told staffers to hold all fire, until he secures the party’s nomination.
The directive has come down from the highest levels within the party, according to a top source.
Within the DNC, Huckabee is known as the “glass jaw — and they’re just waiting to break it.”
In the last three weeks since Huckabee’s surge kicked in, the DNC hasn’t released a single press release criticizing his rising candidacy. …”
“Glass Jaw”, waiting to be shattered. Makes you wonder if the body count behind this guy is a lot higher than just one, doesn’t it? Sadly, the “Nanny Staters” themselves have a “glass jaw”, just waiting to be shattered by a TRUE populist without too many skeletons in their closet, ready to run against both the Donkeys and the Elephants with both barrels a-blaze, but I’m beginning to give up all hope on that one, at least for 2008.
This will be interesting to say the very least…

Why should the DNC worry about “swift boating” Huckabee, the liberal bloggers are doing it for them.
I guess they must be getting scared of Huckabee to start their attacks so early.
