The GTL’s NFL Picks – Week 12

Last Year: 159-104 (.605)
Last Week: 12-4 (.750)
This Year: 103-57 (.644)

NOTES

3-0 so far for Week Twelve, thanks to my PERFECT Thanksgiving picks. Not saying I’m a rocket scientist, just saying I’m “thankful” for all the things people are thankful for on Thanksgiving and thankful I had the good sense to rely on my math. Going into Sunday’s games, that makes me a FAIRLY respectable 106-57 (.650) on the season thus far. Hoping the trend can continue, of course…

Has disgraced Atlanta Falcons QB and animal torturer Michael Vick become a pillow biter in prison... Bubba says YUPPERDOOZIE...Speaking of Thanksgiving, forget about the Lions. Forget about the Dallas Cowboys, Tony Romeo Romo, forget about Terrell Owens for a moment and let’s just focus on TURKEY. John Madden can grant his “Golden Turkey Leg” award or whatever he calls it to anyone whom he chooses, but I’ll take this moment to grant the “Turkey Of The Year” award to — yep — Michael Vick, who spent this Thanksgiving in prison with his cellmate who goes by the moniker of “Bubba”, for his participation in the so-called “sport” of dog fighting dog torturing. And for good reason, too. Have fun in prison with your boyfriend named “BUBBA”, BEEYATCH!

Okay — that said, it’s time for me to (hopefully) continue to build on my “legacy” as one of the most atrocious, fairly well-known political bloggers and an EXTRAORIDARY NFL “guru”…

Around The Sphere Thanksgiving Blogging Roundup Nov. 22, 2007…

It’s Thanksgiving Day…a day when we should take stock and make a list of at least some of the many things for which we are thankful. And one of the things is the Internet as an increasingly popular Internet tool. Will it continue to wreak…

like the carolina pick, first person ive seen with that pick. they haven’t won a home game in almost 2 years, about time the break that. denver on a rush, rex is still as awful as he ever was. Chicago will never win with him at the helm. Bulger and company also get their first home win this week against an overrated Seattle with San Fran accounting for 33% of their wins. Oakland evens the season series with KC with a big road win at Arrow head with KC and their RB issues.

Late to the party, but the Thanksgiving picks were gimmies as far as I’m concerned, with the possible exception of GB at Detroit, but I’ve been bearish on Detroit all year.

Anyway, MV, consider me the second person to pick Carolina. I’ll take them and the rest of GTLs picks except for Oakland and Denver. Yeah, thats right, Oakland again. They gotta win eventually! I hope.

    Good luck!

  • praguetwin

Oh sorry, that was Matt. I like that Rams pick actually, not a bad pick at all, but I’m going to stick with Seattle.

  • praguetwin

We’ll call it a draw. Not a bad week all in all.

OK, hell must have frozen over – the gawdamphuckinRaiders WON! In KC! Wearing their whites! YES!!! There IS a God!

Congrats on Oakland, prague (and Joe Lovell) … ’bout time the Silver & Black won one.

10-5 (.667) on the week going into MNF matchup; 113-62 (.646) on the season thus far…

    GO STEELERS!!!

Oh, and the Pats have proven themselves to be… “vulnerable” after all ;-)
