Valerie Plame Finally Has Her Say On Both 60 Minutes And In Her New Book

Image courtesy of USPolitics.About.Com -- the stunning Valerie Plame Wilson tells all...Our friends at Crooks and Liars have the entire 60 Minutes Interview of Valerie Plame Wilson, conducted by the (at times) “testy” Katie Couric. All in all, nothing new here for anybody who has followed the treasonous outing of the former high level C.I.A. operative by members of the Bush Administration based purely upon PERSONAL ideological differences, but the stunning Ms. Plame (there’s no other way to put it) stands up well and projects herself as quite believable in the Couric interview…

An interesting quote:

Couric: “Do you think President Bush was in on this?”

Plame: “I don’t know about that, but I, like most other Americans saw President Bush say on TV that he would fire anyone from his administration found to be involved in the leak of my name. It turns out, the president is not a man of his word.”

If this was Fark, there would be an “Obvious” tag inserted on that quote…

The good news for Valerie Plame fans (count me as one of ‘em — she’s a “stunner”), is the fact there is MORE — a new book entitled “Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House” and her very first blog post EVER at The Huffington Post

Some “snippets”:

I’m Valerie Plame Wilson and I’m excited to be here and blog about my book Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House, which goes on sale Monday, Oct 22. When my publisher sent me the finished copy earlier this week, it was thrilling. It felt like a new chapter (forgive the pun) has begun on the journey that has taken some incredible twists and turns since July 14, 2003, when my covert identity was exposed and ended a career that I loved. I’ve written honestly about my life: why I went to work for the CIA, my paramilitary training, the sort of operations we developed and ran to find intelligence on Iraq’s alleged WMD programs in the run up to the war, as well as personal information, such as my battle with postpartum depression and the difficulties I had going from a private to a public persona literally overnight. …”

(Snip!)

“… Watching myself on 60 Minutes was surreal — who can ever get used to seeing themselves on TV? …”

While it may be hard for Ms. Plame-Wilson to watch herself on television, it’s not hard for me to watch her on television…

As for the book; think I’ll wait for the movie. And there probably WILL be a movie. And it would be just A-Okay with me if she played herself, too. Okay, okay, I know — DOWN, BOY! I’ll be labeled a “sexist” or something like that by the far-left for certain, but hey — the lady IS a “looker”. I guess there’s just something about those “super-secretive” (at one time), left-leaning, dangerous “superbabes”…

But — on a more serious note — it IS quite sad the lady has had her career yanked out from underneath her simply because her hubby had aired a strong opinion contrary to the point of views of President Bush and Vice President Dick “Shotgun” Cheney. Those things are not supposed to happen in America, where free speech and political dissent was once not only tolerated, but ENCOURAGED in order to establish a better nation in a fluid effort by ALL members of the Citizenry.
