General Wesley Clark: Censor Rush Limbaugh From Armed Forces Radio; The GTL™ Disagrees

That’s right, I highly disagree with General Clark’s call to censor the IDIOTIC Rush Limbaugh, who has been digging his overweight, pasty, white BUTT into deeper and deeper trouble after referring to the sixty-plus percent of us as “phony Soldiers” who choose to serve in the U.S. military but refuse to identify ourselves as Republican (source: Military Times) supporters of the President’s “Troop Surge” strategy in the civil war in Iraq…

Rush Limbaugh continues to bash over half of our US military members who are dissatisfied with President Bush plans for Iraq civil war...Obviously, I disagree with the draft-dodging Rush Limbaugh (deferment from Vietnam granted for “ingrown hairs” on his butt; funny; I didn’t think he had a single ONE), but it might come as a surprise to you all that I also disagree with General Clark’s solution of banning Limbaugh’s program from the Armed Forces Radio Network.

I say put Randy Rhodes, yet another one of the world famous, blowhard draft-dodger’sphony Airmen” (Randy served honorably in the Air Force Reserve during the Cold War, BY THE WAY) on the network to even things out a bit.

Fairness Doctrine!!?“, you cry? NOPE — not a supporter of the so-called “Fairness Doctrine”, just a supporter of “fairness”…

From HuffPo:

Take Rush Limbaugh Off Armed Forces Radio

By General Wesley Clark

Last week, Rush Limbaugh labeled any American soldier who supports an end to the war in Iraq as “phony.” We challenged Limbaugh through an email campaign to invite VoteVets.org’s Jon Soltz to his show and repeat these same insults to an Iraq war veteran’s face. Over 10,000 people responded and emailed Rush — but to our disappointment, he has refused to respond to our request.

It’s time to put real pressure on Rush Limbaugh. His show is broadcast on Armed Forces Radio, and this time we are going to go straight to the lifeblood of Rush’s show — Congress. Congress has the power to remove Rush Limbaugh from Armed Forces Radio, and it won’t be as easy for elected officials to ignore our call.

Tax dollars are used to fund Armed Forces Radio, and that money is not intended for radio show hosts to spout insults at our soldiers. These “phony soldiers” have simply exercised their right to free speech, as Rush Limbaugh does on a daily basis. Simply because a majority of our troops who return from Iraq disagree with Rush on Bush’s failed war policy does not give him the right to dishonor their service. …”

With all due respect to the honorable General: BOO, HISS! I say let the draft-dodging WINDBAG continue to speak out to the twenty-some-odd percent of my fellow military brothers and sisters who look to this YELLOW-BELLIED JERK-OFF for their entertainment needs, who, in return, receive Rush Limbaugh’s QUITE SHALLOW “support”.

That’s right, Limbaugh has a LONG history of bashing troops and veterans who identify themselves as opponents to President Bush’s strategies and/or the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan while quite OPENLY supporting ONLY those troops in the minority of the body of the military who profess to be Republican voters, and it’s no surprise the rest of America is just learning this to be a FACT; a FACT long-clouded by the suppression of free speech upon those of us who disagree with ANY U.S. President’s policies while revealing our identities and our affiliations with the military under the Uniform Code Of Military Justice (“UCMJ”). The proverbial “cat” is out of the bag finally, and it is likely the equally troop-bashing Sean Hannity is beginning to feel the long-deserved heat as well.

This might ALSO come as a surprise to you, but I also condemn the attempt by Senators Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer, and the rest of them to play the ole’ “Dog And Pony” show by publicly WASTING my hard-earned tax dollars when they should damned well be doing what we elected them to Congress to do — their ACTUAL JOBS. Just like those jerk-offs from the Republican Party who also wasted my time and tax dollars censuring MoveOn.Org a week or two ago for their “Betray Us” spoof on General Petrayous, the Democrats are following suit, and who is paying for it? WE are, and I RESENT IT. Speak out to the media on YOUR time; on YOUR dime, but quit wasting MY Government buildings and MY Congressionally-delegated PAYCHECK DOLLARS playing games when we are SUPPOSEDLY in a “grim time of war on terr’r” while turning their heads to our so-called, deadly, wide-open BORDERS.

How much money do these two “dog and pony” shows by the Dems and the Reps add up to anyway, when you factor in the light bill, the water bill, the Senate payroll versus the time used by both parties to “strategize”, the support staff, the caterers, and all other expenses? A million dollars? Most likely TENS of millions of dollars and that doesn’t even take into account the amount of money and lives lost in this senselessly-waged war and as a result of our pourous borders. When you add that into the equation, a price cannot even be assigned and I RESENT THIS MISAPPROPRIATION OF PUBLIC FUNDS AND RESOURCES!

How about this idea — if you, too, resent the thoughtless comments by Rush Limbaugh, simply turn off the radio and stop supporting his advertisers until such time the draft-dodging SHOCK JOCK issues the well-earned, well-deserved apologies to those of us he thoughtlessly ATTEMPTED to denigrate, followed by his bullheaded determination to lie his way out of it.

SHAME ON YOU, RUSH LIMBAUGH; you COWARD.

Just the fact ALONE that “Mr.” (and I use that salutation quite LOOSELY) Limbaugh refuses to apologise to we left-leaning, anti-Iraq “strategerie” troops and clarify that he supports even those of us who may disagree with his politics, but, yet, have put our “boots on the ground” is enough to indict him of his COWARDICE and his disdain for our non-Republican BRETHEREN in uniform. Chomp on THAT one, “Mr.” Limbaugh…

Last but not least, I’d like to thank those on the right, and there are many in the blogosphere who share my disdain for the man who expresses disdain toward the majority of the U.S. military troops on a regular basis, for his latest, high-profile DUMPING. Hat’s off to you folks.

GTL had a link to Limbaugh’s comments that clearly showed Rush was talking about people who Lie about their service when he used the term “phony soldiers.” And yet, the left persists in trying to condemn him. Even when it is clear that he never said anything like; all left leaning soldiers are phony, or any soldier who opposes President Bush is phony, etc., the left continues to attribute remarks such as these to him. “Phony soldiers” are people who were not soldiers but lie and tell everyone that they were soldiers. I’m surprised any current or ex-military, especially Vietnam or Iraq veterans would tolerate that. I guess some of them are willing to swallow the fact that some people lie about being soldiers in order to attack their nemesis, Rush.

Then, both sides provide selectively EDITED versions of what Rush supposedly said. Does anyone have an UN-EDITED full transcript of the show in question? A transcript that includes all comments both before and after the converstaion in question so that there can be no mistake about what was said before, during or after the conversation.

The question should be answered easily enough and with no room for doubt. The conversation was broadcast and recorded, the exact words should be available.

I heard what was said, but it sounds like the lefties only heard what they wanted to hear. They are not publishing full transcripts because that would disprove their points and reveal the truth.

    F & B-( France and Belgium?)

“all left leaning soldiers are phony, or any soldier who opposes President Bush is phony, ”

When is having a conscience considered being phony? What about the ellipses of a minute and a half, what about Rush’s editing, and inconsistencies- a noted hallmark of behaviour among liars and kooks who can’t keep their stories straight- on both sides of the aisle? Sure the guy he mentioned was a complete fake, but then Rush goes on to use anecdotes, not evidence, to condemn a whole school of thought not in lockstep with his lap-dog White House ideals.
This is America, you’re allowed to think outside the box. Those who fail to question authority will never understand what having it means.

Why don’t we let the LISTENERS to Armed Forces Radio decide if they want Rush or not? Why do senators and Rush haters get to decide? I served in the military, and was overseas for years during my career, and you’d better not mess with Armed Forces Radio unless you have the consent of the listeners. If you’re up for election, and want to lose votes. . . . .and believe me, we voted overseas, even though Al Gore made sure they wouldn’t get counted.
