This is quite troubling, indeed — the new Osama Bin Ladin video is DEFINITELY authentic (source: ABCNews’ Political Radar) and recent according to the many references made by OBL to current events.

Frankly, I’ve seen and heard much better, and would strongly advise Mr. Bin Ladin to not give up the terrorist “day gig” anytime SOON…
I certainly do hope I did not just violate the USA Patriot Act with that last statement.

I guess I’ll be the naysayer here.
As I posted before this video even appeared, the timing of this cannot be overlooked. And I’m not buying it’s because September 11 is coming up; if Osama had wanted to do that, he could have done it on the 5th anniversary, which would have been far more symbolic.
WHAT ELSE is coming up in the month of September, that Chimpy would very much like to influence? And why is it Osama appears slightly before “important” events that Chimpy NEEDS to be able to influence?
Anyone who hasn’t figured out why this video is appearing now is just in denial, the same as anyone who doesn’t understand what the significance of the November, 2004 video was.

New Osama video seems yet another forgery. Everyone needs Osama alive:
terrorists as symbolic leader and the US Administration – to avoid
scaling down the war on terror.
Obadiah Shoher rightly notes (

new Osama talks like a leftist university professor. I like Shoher’s
analysis. No way a terrorist leader like Osama would use a speechwriter. Osama is famous
for his rhetoric.
Also, in the tape Osama both threatens America with attack (by
“proving” Americans polytheists) and offers (yet another time)
long-term coaching in Islam.
But his dyed beard makes me cautious. Islam’s mujahedeen dye their
beards before battle.
