I’ve refrained from weighing in on this Karl Rove thing just because everybody else is doing such a good job of it. I could’ve written twenty posts on this topic with nothing more than what HE said, or what SHE said, or what HE said, or what SHE said, etc., etc., etc. And, unfortunately, that’s about all the typing this guy (“Turd Blossom”, as he is affectionately called by the President for his uncanny ability to raise beautiful flowers from cow pies) is worth to me, so here we go…
What HE said (NYT Editorial):
Editorial
Mr. Rove Gets Out of TownKarl Rove, the architect of so much that has gone so wrong with the Bush administration, announced yesterday that he is leaving the White House to spend more time with his family. What he didn’t say is that by getting out of town he is also hoping to avoid spending any time at all with Congressional investigators.
Congress should not oblige. …”
That’s right — Congress should NOT “oblige”. NOBODY is above the law…

I have heard some rumblings that Rove is planning on spending a couple of months resting in anticipation of the next Presidential election. No, sorry NeoLibs, he won’t be running himself but will be planning on how to get the next Republican candidate elected, whomever that may be.
You could say he is getting back to his roots, back to doing the thing he does best – getting Republicans elected. Rest well Mr. Rove, you’ll be battling for this country’s very survival this time. If the Dem’s take the White House, Ross Perot’s “giant sucking sound” will turn into a “giant Flushing Sound” as the United States gets flushed down the toilet by the Democrats.

God, I miss Ross Perot. I wish he, or somebody like him would run for Prez again…
