What do I mean by “Michael Vick’s hero”? Here’s a little reminder from my rant on June 29th in case you missed it:
Mitt Romney’s Newest Problem: Inhumane Treatment Of Family Dog Revealed
I’m really starting to worry about this “Mitt” guy. No, I’m not really worried that he’s going to become our next President; I would seriously hope we are smarter than that; I’m more worried about him being a menace to society. …”
(Snip!)
So, as you can see, I was dismayed and highly concerned over this man when his little “I’m a lifetime hunter” story broke; perhaps even to the point of pondering whether or not he might be a menace to society since many studies show a common trait of murderers is their disdain, or indifference for the life and comfort of an animal…
And now THIS:
Romney Accused of Mistreating Family Dog
BOSTON (AP) — An example of Mitt Romney’s crisis management skills has turned into something of a political problem for the Republican presidential contender.
Romney placed his family dog, an Irish setter named Seamus, into a kennel lashed to the top of his station wagon for a 12-hour family trip from Boston to Ontario in 1983. Despite being shielded by a wind screen the former Massachusetts governor erected, Seamus expressed his discomfort with a diarrhea attack. …”
(Snip!)
“… When Romney’s eldest son, Tagg, and his four brothers complained about the brown runoff down the back windshield, their father quietly pulled the car over, borrowed a gas station hose and sprayed down both the dog and the kennel before returning to the road. …”
Okay… now that we’ve gotten THAT one outta the way, let’s move onto the main point of the post. Obviously, a man who cares this way for “man’s best friend” is going to care about the same for his fellow man and woman, of COURSE. Studies have demonstrated this is true, and so do Mitt Romney’s traditional actions and words…
Let’s try and keep a straight face as Ole’ “Mitt” gets his BUTT kicked by a waitress here (H/T to Michael D. Shear of The Washington Post):
Note that Mitt not only shook in his shoes at half the questions posed by Ms. Michele Griffin, the other half, he talked over her in his pathetic attempt to MUTE her as if Ms. Griffin’s “side of America”, or, just as accurate, Ms. Griffin’s American NEIGHBORHOOD was one he would clearly choose to ignore, if, in his PIPE DREAM, he were ever to be elected to the Oval Office.
I loved that last quote from Ms. Griffin at the end of the video — it says it ALL when it comes to summarizing the TRUE “moral values” of a neocon:
“… “Now, he was in here for what, over an hour? That’s money off my table…”
YEP. And the man doesn’t give a damn about your personal losses in exchange for using YOUR workplace as his stage for his neocon theatrics for his personal gain EITHER. BET on it…

Another attempt to make a small incident into a mountain. What would you do? put the dog into a 3×5 kennell for a week? I had a friend who owned a kennell. Trust me, he was better off with the family than in the hot stuffy kennell like a sardine. When these comments are made it actually improves Romney’s chances. This is the worst you can find on him? Look hard because you will have a difficult time finding something, it is not to be found in fact he has done a whole lot of good in his life and will continue whether president or not.
He did well in my opinion in the restauraunt. The selfish waitress only thought of herself and her envy for his nice clothes. She would do well to vote for him, he is in this for the people and she ignored the good he did in mass. as all she could do was feel sorry for herself. The answer to her is what are you doing to help others which in turn would help her get over her own problems and feel good about helping someone else.
“Selfish waitress and envy for his nice clothes”. You’ve got to be kidding! What kind of dispassionate neocom wrote this?
I think she was rude to interrupt him. I believe if you ask a presidential candidate a question, you should give him the chance to form a response. I am in no way, shape or form endorsing any contender or party this early, but at least Mr. Romney has done something proactive. It may not be the best plan for her, but it sounds better than what she has now.
