Loading ...When the GTL asked for contributors and so graciously allowed me to join the ranks of fine writers here at this blog, I knew I had made the big time. However, making the big time and actually belonging there can be two different things, and I have come to recognize that I am out of my league, and I am grateful to be able to know that I perhaps bit off more than I could chew by asking for this assignment. I do believe I have a certain talent when it comes to writing, but I think perhaps I should stick with my taco stand rather than trying to run a five star French Bistro. There have been a few commenters who did the universe such a valuable service by pointing out to all who would pay heed to their expert opinions that I was obviously not an author of serious note, and to those I would like to bow down in a frenzied demonstration of unworthiness to show them and all the world how terrible it is that I dared breath the same air on this planet that they did. I am so, so very sorry for having done so. To give them their PROPER homage, I would have to whip out some more appropriate language, which does not belong on this august publication. How sad.
The real truth of the matter is that I have personal issues which have been distracting me not only from my duties here, but even from my personal blog, which is even more famous the world over for it’s pedestrian flavor and total lack of fame, which has always been fine by me. I write for the sheer pleasure of it and as a mechanism to allow the pressure of having to know that such mediocrity and stupidity exists in our government and the world in general, to escape.
Yes, I realized this has been a very short run and that I probably should not have taken it at all if I didn’t know I could stick with it longer. That is probably true and I do apologize for it. What I will not apologize for is pissing off so many of you rigid, unyielding know-it-alls that apparently DON’T know it all, which has been so apply demonstrated by the results that your mindsets have wrought upon our nation and the good name of Americans throughout the world. A real bozo was elected to the highest office of our land. A man that can’t even talk like an 8th grader has his finger on the nuclear button. Scores of our brave, more-than-patriotic young men are dying weekly for an already lost cause, and if you people had your way, alot more are going to die, until we have another black wall to erect on the mall in our nation’s capital. Thanks to you, we have a large and rabid sector of our population, who, if given the free reign they thirst for, would put the Taliban to shame when it comes to enforced theocracy. And we have a large cadre of rich, mean, powerful people who always have and always will put their opulent wealth over the well being of the American people, up to and including selling this country out to Red China.
Should I ever have the opportunity to write again, I will come back to visit the spot-light on the likes of you, something you despise and attempt to fend off with such catch-phrases as “unpatriotic”, “liberal”, and “traitor”. If that’s the best you can do, then what you have to offer the rest of us is plainly visible, and equally sickening. Vladamir Putin knows this, and deals with it appropriately. He kills the messengers. If you are such patriots you think that’s the only way you can make YOUR points, then in the words of one of your very own, I say………”Bring it on!”
To the rest of my audience, I thank you for your forbearance, and thank you for considering my offerings, even if you found them somewhat wanting, and merely disagreed with them, and I thank those few who gave me great encouragement, for such little things have such value. I want to thank all of these Americans here who write so well and tell it like it is. And I want to think the Gun Toting Liberal for the opportunity he afforded me to get some things off my chest. You’re a great guy, Gun, I don’t care WHAT they say about you! Grin………..

Your work was not in vein Lee. Do not ever give up the hope of what you think or write is not heard. GTL was an avenue for expressing your thoughts. You have made a difference. Think about moving on from talking about what should be done and actually participating what is done.
I will be the first to post an election advertiesment on my site for you. I’m sure that Gunny would do the same. Think outside of the bitching box and do what is in your heart. You have it in you so just do it! Change is or could be just your voice away?
