Senate Votes In Favor Of Continued, Unfettered Illegal Immigration And Illegal Employment Practices

That is exactly what CNN tells us in this breaking report:

Senate immigration bill suffers crushing defeat

WASHINGTON (CNN) — President Bush’s immigration bill suffered a crushing defeat Thursday in the Senate, when members voted against advancing the controversial legislation.

The tally was 46 to 53, 14 votes shy of the 60 needed to end debate.

The bill would have provided a path to citizenship for some of the 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. and toughens border security. …”

(Snip!)

“… “Our analysis of it was it would not work,” said GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama. “Our analysis was that it would result in 8.7 million more people in the next 20 years here illegally.

Supporters and opponents of the controversial legislation said that it probably won’t be resurrected until after the 2008 elections. …”

So, there ya go: The USA Patriot Act is alive and well while our borders remain WIDE OPEN. Does anybody smell anything “funny” about this? The “Bush Gub’mint” tells us things are so “dangerous” in the United States of America right now that we must forsake many of our civil liberties in exchange for “security”, but on the other hand, tells us by their actions, that our pourous and deadly, wide open borders to both the North and South are something to be dealt with via comprehensive, long, thoughtful, destined to go nowhere debates and border fences that will never be built? Who’s lying here? All of the above cannot possibly be true, and if they are, we have a President and a bunch of Congressmen and women who should be impeached for derlict of duty and failing to keep their oaths of office.

If it IS true that we are in huge danger of “terr’ist” attacks, and if it IS true that “terr’ists” have been going to Mexico, learning Spanish, and posing as Mexicans who are “just looking to do the work Americans don’t wanna do”, then the National Guard units of every border state should be in full battle gear with orders to apprehend anybody who refuses to retreat from any attempt to cross our borders without going through our legal checkpoints with legal papers. If these are NOT true threats, then the authors and signatories of The USA Patriot Act should all be rounded up and imprisoned for TREASON.

So, here we are again: the Senate’s vote today is a vote for more of the same for another two years before they even entertain the further discussion this so-called issue of national security during President “Surge” W. Bush’s Nazi-ish “Global War On Terr’r”. Some “emergency”, eh? It was an “emergency” to pass The USA Patriot Act; it was an “emergency” to pass The RealID Act; it was an “emergency” to fence the American People themselves IN by requiring a passport to travel even to Mexico and Canada, but it’s not really an “emergency” to keep al-Qaida from strolling across our borders with dirty bombs and backpack nukes? Makes a helluva lot of sense, doesn’t it?

The Senate, the President of the Senate (psst… Dick Cheney), Congress, and the President of the United States have failed the American People again, and what was their collective, bottom-line excuse for this again? Oh, yeah — “cheap strawberries”.

How’s that one going to look in the history books of future generations? The “achilles heel” behind the fall of the second Roman empire turns out to be a demand for “cheap strawberries” and an insincere, manufactured “compassion” for the poor folks of Mexico. Good thing we didn’t fall for the warnings by the far-right wackos that we would fall due to “debauchery” and “so much gayness” in the country that we would simply stop procreating, eh? We’re not even going to get the chance to do all of that if President Bush ISN’T lying about the al-Qaeda threat to Americans on U.S. soil, are we?

Or, could it just be… that… he HAS been lying to the American People all along? Oh, naw; that just couldn’t be the case, could it?

Why is it that you liberals don’t get it! The major polls this morning showed only 20% of America was for this imigration bill! It had so much pork in it that I was smelling ham all over the place.

The only way to make this country safe is to CLOSE THE BORDERS. Then to get out the illegals and then to reshape the imigration policy so it does not take 5 years and tens of thousands of dollars to become a citizen.

I am wondering why the liberals are not applauding Bush for teaming with Teddy K, the socialist, ( I lived in Massachusetts for 20 years) It makes me sick and it shows that both Teddy and Bush are in the same corporations pockets.

I am sure this will be blamed on the “conservative religios right” the only group who can be basterdized and called names from the “Main stream”.

Did any of you lose someone on 9/11? I was in the south tower on 9/10 and by the grace of God I was not there on 9/11 but I lost hundreds of co-workers, freinds and people I had known for over 10 years. All you liberals who don’t care about the 3000 people who died can kiss my God and country loving ASS.

Before you start calling Bush a Nazi, why don’t you look south at Venezuela, who just Nationalized the oil feilds and stoled about 60 Billion dollars from US and Eurouian companies. Have you ever read a book called Mine Komph???

AGAIN, all we hav e to do is allow our police and INS to DO THIER JOBS and force Mexico, who will not take them back, to TAKE BACK THIER CITIZENS.

So, here we are again: the Senate’s vote today is a vote for more of the same for another two years before they even entertain the further discussion this so-called issue of national security during President “Surge” W. Shoot, I hate doing it this way, but I ain’t got an email for ya, and I don’t really have time to scour the site for one. Hopefully you catch this in the next hour.

Somehow, the Democratic Debate sprung up on me tonight. Didn’t find out about it until just now.

I’m gonna liveblog it, like I do every debate I can watch from the computer. Liveblogging at Comments is done in the comments section, so everyone who’s willing to behave with some semblence of decency is more than welcome to join!

I was hoping to deliver a personal invite to you folks to come on over and be a part of the festivities.

I’ll be putting up the official liveblogging post at 8:30 pm EST so I can get out all the initial whooy like who’s going to do what, and what to expect.

Well, again, I was hoping to do this via email as opposed to a random comment on a post that has nothing to do with it, but what are you going to do?

Thanks, and hope to see yall there.

Oh please, do you really think this abortion of a bill is anything but full blown amnesty? How much do you trust the Bush administration? And if this bill was to pass you think they would suddenly lock down our borders? Put down the crack pipe pal. Or maybe its just kool aid.

OK, time for a little humor:

Jose and Carlos are panhandling at the freeway off-ramp, each holding a sign.
Jose drives a Mercedes, lives in a mortgage free house and has a lot of money to spend. Carlos only brings in 2 to 3 dollars a day.
Carlos asks Jose how he can bring home a suitcase full of $10 bills every day. Jose says, “Look at your sign.”:

I have no work, a wife & 6 kids to support.

“Now look at mine.” Carlos looks at Jose’s sign:

I only need another $10.00 to move back to Mexico

    LOL Joe!

As for the Right-Wingers who’ve weighed in: you missed the main point of the post — it’s a GREAT thing this crap was defeated, my BEEF is that they’ll be doing NOTHING about the open-borders now. They’ve all bought their excuses for continued lawlessness and lack of sovereignty. Get it? :-)

Well I expect the citizenry to be so pissed at Bush in ‘08 that it will poison the whole voter pool for any Reps. Then lets see what your guys do…Bush Amnesty Part Deux?

Most likely it would be even worse as nobody can go overboard on social programs for illegals the way Dems do. And I speak from experience from living here in So Cal at Ground Zero of the Mexican invasion.

“My guys”? You might not know this, but I am a completely independent (small “I” on purpose) Liberal (large “L” on purpose); NOT a Democrat. In Alabama, I do not have to declare a membership to any party.

My “guys” are the ones who put America above their party. In other words, my “guys” are few and far between these days, Sir…

I know this doesn’t belong here, but I don’t know where else to put it, maybe Guns can put it somewhere appropriate – Let’s everyone make sure to read the founding documents during the next week. Good time of year to brush up on why this nation was founded and what we really allow the capons to do.

Guns, I was just thinking it might fit better with a differnt thread, or maybe even generate a thread of its own.
As for my site, my wife used to have it up through the gun store she worked for. When she lost that job (long and sordid story) she had to take it down. Money was tight for a while, but we finally got to where we could put it back. Thanks for noticeing.
